4-Day Gorilla Trekking Experience (Luxury)
Arrival & Transfer:
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by a Sauti Safaris representative who will transfer you to your accommodation in Entebbe Town (approximately 20 minutes away).
Group Meeting:
An essential group briefing is scheduled at 6:00 PM at your accommodation. Your attendance is highly recommended.
Local Exploration:
Should time permit, you may explore the local area—perhaps by visiting the historic colonial gardens or enjoying a nearby beach.
Meal Arrangement:
Dinner will be arranged privately.

Morning Departure:
After a hearty breakfast, depart on an 8-hour journey (with an additional hour allocated for lunch) towards Kisoro.
Evening Arrival:
Upon arrival, dinner will be served, allowing you to rest and prepare for the trekking adventure ahead.
Lodging:
You will spend the night in one of the 10 luxury chalets at Chameleon Hill Lodge / Mutanda Lake Resort. This accommodation offers stunning views of Lake Mutanda and overlooks the Virunga Mountains in Congo.
Optional Activities:
Various activities are available, including exploring the Batwa trail and hiking local mountains such as Muhavura and Sabinyo.

- Morning Routine:
Begin your day with a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, followed by a transfer to the renowned Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. - At the Park:
Upon reaching the park gate, you will receive a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authorities regarding the gorilla trekking procedure. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a World Heritage site since 1994, shelters nearly half of the remaining 1,050 Mountain Gorillas. - Trekking Experience:
As you embark on your trek, be prepared for a physically demanding journey that may last from under 2 hours to as much as 7 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location and weather conditions. Once your group encounters a gorilla family, you will have up to one hour to observe them. A packed lunch will be provided during the trek, arranged to be enjoyed later in the day. - Optional Cultural Activity:
If time allows after trekking, you have the option to visit the Batwa Pygmies. This immersive cultural experience includes demonstrations of traditional dances, fire-making techniques, hunting skills, and insights into building eco-friendly tree houses.- Cost: Approximately US$60 per person (for groups larger than four)

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay a certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, a hot water facility could be free at a lower elevation.
